Acceptable Use Policy
Effective August 17, 2026
These rules keep Ladder Breakers useful, lawful, and safe for users, employers, and the systems our automation interacts with.
1. Purpose and scope
This Acceptable Use Policy governs your use of Ladder Breakers, including job matching, resume and cover-letter generation, answer libraries, automation, application submission, browser-assisted workflows, account access, support, and billing features.
This policy is part of our Terms of Service. If a conduct rule here conflicts with the Terms for a specific misuse issue, the stricter or more specific rule applies to the maximum extent permitted by law.
2. Lawful use
You may use Ladder Breakers only for lawful personal job-search activity. You are responsible for complying with laws, employer rules, job-board rules, applicant-tracking-system rules, recording and consent laws, export-control rules, sanctions restrictions, privacy laws, and any contracts or policies that apply to your job search.
You may not use the service to facilitate fraud, impersonation, harassment, unlawful discrimination, unlawful surveillance, unauthorized access, intellectual-property infringement, privacy violations, or any criminal or civil wrongdoing.
3. Truthful applications
You may not use Ladder Breakers to submit false, misleading, fabricated, or deceptive application materials. Do not invent employers, titles, degrees, certifications, licenses, work authorization, immigration status, compensation history, references, demographic disclosures, or other facts.
You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of your resume, profile, answer bank, preferences, uploaded documents, and any AI-generated materials that you approve or allow the service to submit.
4. Account integrity
Each account is for one individual. You may not share, sell, lease, transfer, sublicense, or provide account access to another person or entity without our written permission.
You may not create duplicate accounts, use disposable or misleading emails to evade limits, bypass verification, impersonate another person, misrepresent affiliation with an employer, or hide your identity to abuse the service.
You are responsible for keeping access to your email, connected accounts, devices, browser sessions, and authentication flows secure.
5. Automation and employer-platform misuse
You may not use Ladder Breakers to spam employers, flood applicant-tracking systems, apply to roles you have no intention of considering, evade employer screening rules, bypass CAPTCHA or anti-bot controls, or interfere with the normal operation of employer platforms.
You may not use automation to harvest jobs, scrape employer systems, collect personal data, map private APIs, manipulate metrics, or test third-party defenses except through features we make available for normal user-directed applications.
We may throttle, queue, pause, reject, or stop applications to protect deliverability, user quality, employer systems, third-party terms, and platform reliability.
6. Prohibited content and data
You may not upload, submit, generate, store, or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, abusive, harassing, discriminatory, obscene, malicious, deceptive, or infringing.
Do not upload confidential employer documents, proprietary interview questions, trade secrets, internal hiring rubrics, third-party resumes, private candidate data, or other restricted material unless you have legal authority to use it through the service.
Do not upload malware, harmful code, credential dumps, payment-card numbers, bank account numbers, government ID images, health records, biometric identifiers, or other highly sensitive data unless an employer application explicitly asks for that information and you intentionally choose to provide it for that application.
7. AI and output misuse
You may not use Ladder Breakers outputs as certified professional advice, official employer communications, guaranteed hiring predictions, or proof of qualifications. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, non-unique, or unsuitable for a specific employer.
You may not use the service to generate deceptive, unlawful, discriminatory, or harmful content, or to create materials intended to trick employers, recruiters, job boards, or applicant-tracking systems.
You may not benchmark, probe, extract prompts, reverse engineer model behavior, build competing products, or train external systems using Ladder Breakers outputs or workflows except with our written permission.
8. Security and system integrity
You may not disrupt, overload, scan, attack, scrape, crawl, reverse engineer, decompile, tamper with, or attempt unauthorized access to Ladder Breakers, its source code, models, prompts, databases, infrastructure, APIs, browser workflows, or service providers.
You may not bypass credit systems, usage limits, rate limits, security checks, access controls, paywalls, feature gates, or technical safeguards.
Security testing requires prior written authorization. Good-faith vulnerability reports should be sent to support@ladderbreakers.ai.
9. Payment and billing abuse
You may not exploit trials, coupons, credits, refunds, referral rewards, billing defects, processor errors, or plan limits. Fraudulent chargebacks, payment reversals, stolen payment methods, or attempts to obtain paid work without paying may result in suspension or termination.
We may pause paid features while a payment dispute, suspected fraud, or billing risk is under review.
10. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend, restrict, terminate, throttle, remove content, block destinations, disable automation, preserve evidence, or contact service providers or authorities where appropriate or legally required.
Enforcement decisions are made at our discretion and do not create a duty to monitor all content or activity. Serious or repeated violations may result in forfeiture of remaining credits or paid access to the maximum extent permitted by law.
11. Reporting and updates
Report suspected misuse, security issues, or policy questions to support@ladderbreakers.ai.
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy as the service, risks, laws, and employer-platform rules change. Continued use after the effective date of an update means you accept the updated policy.
